The Evens Foundation is a philanthropic organization based in Antwerp, Belgium, with antennae in Paris and Warsaw. It has the ambition to contribute to the construction of Europe by means of concrete projects, at a human level, appropriate to reinforce the social cohesion between citizens of the European Union.
The Foundation, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2007, owes its existence to the generosity of the late Mr. Georges Evens, entrepreneur, philanthropist and European enthusiast of Polish origin. After settling in Antwerp after the Second World War, he made a remarkable career in the diamond industry and was concerned to give back to society the fruits of his own success.
Mrs. Corinne Evens, daughter of the founders, the late Mr. Georges Evens and Mrs. Irène Evens-Radzyminska, is the current chair of the Foundation.
