Participants to the workshop - representatives of civil society organisations and representatives of the academic sector with solid experience in the creation of indicators identified gaps in criteria and indicators covering good governance, and proposed additional ones and further proposed areas of work that should be submitted to national consultations in Europe, through CSOs involvement.
The workshop was facilitated by representatives of Misions Publiques, France and of the University of Stuttgart who used the Group-Delphi-method1 in order to facilitate the assessment of the indicators and to improve the quality of the possible amendments.
The workshop is part of a wider project - PASSO - "Participatory Assessment of Sustainable Development indicators on good governance from the Civil Society perspective" - financed under the 7th Framework Programme for research and development. Based on the results of the workshop, Pour la Solidarite will coordinate in the following month national consultations with civil society organizations in 9 EU member states, aiming to bring further input for developing the good governance framework and for improving indicators focused on good governance.
